Covera Health, recognized as the leading infrastructure organization for measuring and enhancing diagnostic quality in radiology, has announced the appointment of Jean-Olivier “J-O” Racine as Chief Product & Technology Officer. In this strategic role, Racine will oversee product development, engineering, and artificial intelligence efforts designed to scale the company’s platform and support rising demand across the United States.
Racine’s leadership comes amid a period of rapid expansion and executive growth for Covera, which recently added Erica Pham as Chief Legal Officer in July 2025. Known for his extensive experience in building and leading high-impact technology organizations, Racine brings over a decade of expertise from roles such as Head of Engineering and Science for Amazon’s AWS Health AI and CTO of Rad AI. His appointment reinforces Covera’s commitment to strengthening its enterprise-grade technology infrastructure that consistently measures, compares, and improves radiology quality across healthcare systems.
Ron Vianu, CEO and co-founder of Covera Health, emphasized the strategic importance of Racine’s role: “Covera is building the infrastructure for a new benchmark of diagnostic quality that can be measured, improved, and ultimately rewarded. As demand grows nationwide, we are investing to scale with it, and J-O is the right leader to help us expand our platform and accelerate our mission.”

Racine expressed enthusiasm about joining the organization and advancing its mission: “Covera is tackling one of healthcare’s hardest problems: defining and operationalizing diagnostic quality in a way the market can trust and act on. When quality becomes measurable and comparable, it becomes improvable, and it becomes possible to align incentives around outcomes. I’m excited to join the team and help scale the platform, deepen our AI capabilities, and accelerate our mission to elevate radiology as a proactive, high-value lever for care.”
Under Racine’s leadership, Covera will continue to fuse advanced AI with deep clinical expertise to detect variability in imaging performance and drive continuous quality improvements. The company currently supports nearly 4 million lives, collaborates with major employers and health plans nationwide, and engages with more than 1,100 radiology sites. Entering 2026, Covera reported triple-digit growth in new employer and health plan customers and expects significant expansion in lives under management throughout the year. The organization was also recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, underscoring its accelerating momentum and industry impact.
