Instabase, a leading applied artificial intelligence (AI) solution for unstructured data, announced the appointment of Sumita Sharma as Chief Revenue Officer. With nearly two decades of experience leading sales teams in the technology sector, Sharma will oversee all revenue-related functions at Instabase.

Sharma comes to Instabase after nine years at Palo Alto Networks. There, she held multiple roles across the company’s entire cybersecurity portfolio, including leading the Prisma Cloud business unit—a cloud-native cybersecurity platform for securing information across multi-cloud environments—and serving some of the largest Fortune 1000 companies.

“Sumita’s deep understanding of key drivers for strategic revenue growth makes her the perfect choice for this role,” said Anant Bhardwaj, CEO and founder of Instabase. “She brings a wealth of experience and fresh new ideas that align perfectly with the company’s vision and growth ambitions.”

As CRO, Sharma will lead sales, channel partnerships, and other related operations to drive Instabase’s growth. Her leadership will be crucial in scaling enterprise adoption of Instabase’s AI Hub and its ability to help businesses unlock the value of their unstructured data at scale.

“Joining Instabase has been a natural next step, and I’m excited to work alongside leaders who genuinely care about helping businesses improve efficiency and unlock valuable insights from their unstructured data,” Sharma said. “I can’t wait to see how much we grow from here.”

Sharma holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Jamia Hamdard University in New Delhi, India, and a master’s degree in marketing administration from De Montfort University in Leicester, England.
