CrowdStrike and Perplexity Extend Enterprise-Grade Security to Comet Enterprise AI Browser

Related stories

CrowdStrike and Perplexity AI have unveiled plans for a strategic collaboration that will bolster security for AI-powered enterprise workflows in particular. With this partnership, the CrowdStrike Falcon platform will be connected to Comet Enterprise, which is Perplexity’s AI-native browser. This will serve to give companies the ability to integrate top-notch cybersecurity measures right within the AI-powered browsing environments. This integration is intended to equip enterprise administrators with better visibility and control over the AI-based interactions taking place inside the browser. Via an opt-in deployment, the Falcon platform will offer real-time threat detection, governance features, and data protection measures that assist in blocking web-based threats, tracking the movement of sensitive data, and maintaining supervision over activities on unmanaged devices.

As companies accelerate their use of generative AI and agentic workflows, browsers are becoming less of a point of mere access and more of a critical interface where workers research, analyze, and interact with AI tools. The 2026 CrowdStrike Global Threat Report stresses that enemies not only use AI-based technology for their attacks but also the number of threats made with the help of AI is rising significantly each year. Whats more, detections in the last few years mostly involve malware-free techniques which means that attackers are mainly exploiting trusted applications and workflows instead of conventional malware. The partnership is focusing on embedding security controls into the AI browsing layer itself so that enterprise data is protected without disrupting productive work. Falcon platforms incorporation into Comet Enterprise results in additional browser-level runtime protections, thereby contributing to reinforcement against private data leak and unlawful information sharing during AI-based interaction.

With the integration, enterprises will have the capability to incorporate the enforcement of their security policies right into the AI-based workflows. This feature guarantees that staff members are able to use AI technologies for research, insight development, and teamwork in a secure manner without violating corporate rules and while safeguarding confidential information.

“The browser is no longer just where people access information – it’s becoming the interaction layer for enterprise AI. As AI scales across the workforce, organizations expect it to operate within their existing security architecture and controls,” said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. “Perplexity has led the way in secure AI browsing since launching Comet, and we’re excited to partner with them to extend CrowdStrike’s protections into AI-native workflows. CrowdStrike was built to secure the AI era, and together, we’re securing AI where work happens – governing agentic risk within a single, AI-native platform.”

The collaboration highlights a larger transformation in the industry where protecting AI interfaces is becoming a priority as they get deeply integrated into regular business processes. Since workers are making more use of AI aides, research assistants, and self-directed workflows through browsers, the demand for comprehensive security measures that encompass the whole AI ecosystem is expanding.

“CrowdStrike is one of the most trusted names in enterprise security, with a proven track record of helping organizations protect their most important workflows,” said Dmitry Shevelenko, chief business officer at Perplexity. “Comet Enterprise already gives customers secure, AI-native browsing out of the box, and this partnership adds an extra layer of control for enterprises that want to extend CrowdStrike’s protections into the browser.”

Thanks to their collaboration, CrowdStrike and Perplexity aim at enabling companies to safely adopt AI technology while still being able to see and control how sensitive data is being utilized in digital workflows. By combining the AI-native browsing capabilities provided by Perplexity and the cloud-native security platform provided by CrowdStrike, these two companies aim at enabling the companies that are using AI technology for faster decision-making and increased productivity in a safer manner.
