BigID, a leader in data security and privacy, has partnered with Knox Systems. This move aims to speed up its FedRAMP authorization process. This collaboration aims to speed up how U.S. federal agencies use modern data and AI security solutions.

The partnership was unveiled at the DCA Live Capital Dual Use Event, marking a key milestone in BigID’s expanded federal strategy. By leveraging Knox Systems’ advanced FedRAMP-authorized managed cloud platform, BigID will be able to deliver its AI-driven platform to federal missions with unprecedented speed and efficiency.

BigID’s platform is used by federal agencies. It helps teams manage sensitive data better, lower risks, and meet regulatory needs at scale. It offers a single way to discover and manage resources in the cloud, SaaS, and on-premises. It also automates privacy and security governance, boosting mission resilience.

The platform is optimized for diverse federal environments including classified, air-gapped, and hybrid systems, and aligns with key government standards such as NIST SP 800-53, CMMC, FISMA, EO 14028, and the DoD Zero Trust Framework.

Under this collaboration, BigID is positioned to achieve FedRAMP authorization on a drastically shortened timeline completing the process in months rather than the traditional multi-year cycle and significant cost. Knox’s managed cloud environment, recognized as the world’s largest FedRAMP-authorized platform, enables vendors to bypass typical authorization hurdles and enter federal markets with agility.

“Federal agencies are at a tipping point – the explosion of sensitive data demands more than traditional compliance tools. It requires deep intelligence and automation,” said Brian Rosson, Vice President of Federal at BigID. “By teaming with Knox to rapidly achieve FedRAMP authorization we are extending these capabilities to every corner of government at the pace Federal modernization demands.”

Knox streamlines the FedRAMP process. This cuts compliance timelines to about 90 days. It also adds AI-enabled monitoring and real-time threat detection in agency settings. This method finds weaknesses early. It protects important systems from new cyber threats.
“This means agencies gain faster deployment, lower compliance costs, real-time security insights, and a trusted environment to innovate safely within Federal cloud frameworks,” the release notes.

“Our government needs advanced platforms like BigID to ensure that Federal agencies have mastery over their most critical asset data,” said Irina Denisenko, CEO of Knox. “By expediting BigID’s FedRAMP journey, we are making it possible for agencies to unlock new value from their data while upholding the strongest standards of trust, security and compliance. This is about ensuring AI and cloud adoption happen responsibly at the speed our nation requires.”
