Nokia and Nscale have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development of AI infrastructure worldwide. Under this collaboration, Nokia will serve as a preferred partner for advanced networking technologies in Nscale’s AI-ready data center deployments.

In addition to the partnership, Nokia is participating in Nscale’s Series B investment round, supporting the company’s mission to build scalable, secure, and globally competitive AI infrastructure amid rising demand for AI-ready data centers. Headquartered in the UK with operations worldwide, Nscale is an AI-native infrastructure platform offering vertically integrated compute, networking, storage, managed software, and AI services, delivered through Nscale-owned and co-located data centers.

As part of the collaboration, Nokia will become Nscale’s preferred partner for networking solutions across its Network Infrastructure portfolio, supporting the large-scale build-out of AI clusters. Nokia’s comprehensive offerings including data center switching, IP routing, and optical networking enable secure, high-performance connectivity within and across data centers, as well as between end-users and applications. This allows customers to scale cloud capacity more efficiently while enhancing operational speed and energy efficiency inside the data center.

The partnership will also see Nokia and Nscale jointly innovate within the networking stack used in AI clusters, while collaborating globally on deployment initiatives to advance AI infrastructure capabilities.

Justin Hotard, President and CEO of Nokia, said: “Demand for the build-out of secure, scalable AI infrastructure in Europe and across the world continues to accelerate. Our partnership with Nscale combines Nokia’s expertise in IP and optical networking with Nscale’s leading infrastructure platform and enables the innovation needed for the future of AI infrastructure.”

Josh Payne, CEO of Nscale, added: “We are focused on building the next generation of AI infrastructure, and strong partnerships are central to that effort. Nokia brings proven expertise in networking technologies, and we are pleased to have them as a partner as we expand across Europe and globally to help customers unlock the full potential of AI.”
