Flex, a global leader in manufacturing and data center infrastructure solutions, has launched its new Modular Rack-Level Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU), immediately available for deployment. Developed by JetCool, a Flex company specializing in advanced liquid cooling technologies, this launch represents the first phase of Flex’s expanded market coverage for cooling distribution units. A dedicated in-row CDU is planned for release in April 2026.
Modular Rack-Level CDU: Scalable, High-Performance Cooling
As demand for AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and hyperscale workloads continues to rise, data centers require cooling solutions that are efficient, scalable, and adaptable. Flex’s Modular Rack-Level CDU addresses these needs with a flexible, right-sized design, supporting 2 to 6 CDUs per rack delivering up to 1.8 MW of cooling capacity. This modular approach allows operators to start with smaller deployments and scale capacity incrementally without sacrificing rack space or efficiency.
Ideal for data centers currently implementing liquid cooling, the solution ensures seamless expansion to higher-capacity configurations while maintaining energy efficiency.

Vertically Integrated Solution for Faster Deployment
Flex’s cooling portfolio is designed for end-to-end integration and operational simplicity. By manufacturing all components in-house and aligning key design elements across the CDU lineup, Flex reduces vendor complexity, accelerates time-to-market, and ensures consistent quality. This vertically integrated approach also streamlines procurement and maintenance, enabling operators to deploy high-performance cooling faster with reduced risk.
“With AI and high-performance computing driving unprecedented demand, customers need more than just capacity they need a partner who can deliver scalability, efficiency, and simplicity across the entire cooling ecosystem,” said Rob Campbell, President of Communications, Enterprise, and Cloud Business at Flex. “This launch reflects our end-to-end approach from design and manufacturing to deployment and support, providing a right-sized solution for today’s challenges and a scalable foundation for tomorrow’s growth.”
Flex complements this solution with comprehensive warranty coverage and global support options. By designing, validating, and producing all components in-house, the company enables faster deployments with fewer vendor touchpoints, helping customers move confidently from planning to implementation.
