Palo Alto Networks, a world leader in cybersecurity, and Google Cloud announced the extensive extension of their strategic partnership to jointly support the secure acceleration of cloud and AI initiatives in the enterprise space. The new partnership is intended to offer comprehensive cloud and AI security solutions in the context of multicloud ecosystems.
This enhanced agreement combines Google Cloud’s premier cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities with the vast AI-driven security solution portfolio provided by Palo Alto Networks through Prisma AIRS, creating a trusted foundation to enable innovative solutions. Based on the agreement, the two companies are showing their shared approach to overcoming the challenges of implementing an AI solution while safeguarding intellectual property and critical infrastructure.
Providing End-to-End Security for the Lifecycle of the Cloud and AI
The new agreement will ensure that companies are able to leverage an array of integrated security solutions that extend security from code development through AI and cloud operations:
• AI security end-to-end: Together, solutions provide organizations with the means to secure their end-to-end AI workloads and protected data on Google Cloud, including both Vertex AI and Agent Engine. Improved security for developer tools such as Agent Development Kit (ADK) further secures next-generation AI applications.
• AI-powered Firewall Solutions: Palo Alto Networks’s VM-Series firewalls, providing deep packet inspection capabilities along with advanced threat prevention, shall have greater integrations with Google cloud services for uniform security policy enforcement and easy cloud migration.
• Secure Access Service Edge (SASE): The Prisma SASE offering improves secure access and networking for remote users, branch offices, and mobile devices. Its stronger tie-ins with the Google Cloud Network Infrastructure ensure that policies remain consistent when following hybrid multicloud.
• Unified security experience: The unified engineering alignment ensures easy deployment, fewer issues in integration, and a smooth, streamlined experience for teams on the unified security experience view for multiple environments.

Enhanced Cooperation with a Multibillion Dollar Investment On the back of its existing collaboration that includes over 75 joint solutions and more than $2 billion in cumulative sales on the Google Cloud Marketplace, Palo Alto Networks announced its extension to migrate its fundamental security platforms and internal workloads to Google Cloud’s secured and AI-optimized environment. This collaboration also utilizes Google Cloud’s AI platforms like Vertex AI and Gemini large language models.
