CloudZero will leverage AWS’s advanced AI tooling to more quickly allocate, analyze, and optimize its customers’ cloud operations, accelerating cloud and AI adoption
CloudZero, a globally trusted leader in proactive cloud cost management, has announced a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at helping customers extract maximum value from their cloud investments. Through this partnership, CloudZero will integrate AWS’s advanced AI technologies — including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q — to build agent-based AI systems designed to automate cost analysis, simplify optimization workflows, and unlock unprecedented levels of cloud efficiency.
The collaboration centers around accelerating the development of CloudZero Intelligence, the company’s proprietary AI-powered platform. By leveraging Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q, CloudZero Intelligence will enable organizations to gain deeper insights into their cloud operations, improve business outcomes, and drive innovation through precise cost visibility and enhanced unit economics.
CloudZero Intelligence will also serve as the backbone for CloudZero Advisor, a conversational chatbot that assists users in optimizing cloud environments by responding to a wide range of real-time inquiries.
These include:
-
Pricing: “How much does an m4.xlarge instance cost?” and “How much does it cost to store 15 TB of data in S3?”
-
Benchmarking: “What is the average monthly EC2 spend for a mid-size enterprise in the financial industry?”
-
Cost and Usage: “How much did Team X spend on RDS last month?”
-
Allocation: “Group all compute resources containing the word ‘optimus’ and split the allocation by number of daily active users.”
-
CloudZero Knowledge: “How do I set up unit cost telemetry in CloudZero?”
“AI is redefining what’s possible in the cloud — but only if it’s built with efficiency at the core,” said Erik Peterson, founder and CTO of CloudZero. “By embedding cost optimization into the foundation of AI development, we empower teams to move faster, make smarter decisions, and innovate at scale. Our adoption of AWS’s AI technologies deepens our partnership, accelerates our pace of innovation, and ensures we continue to deliver with the security and trust our customers rely on.”
