By certifying Dell ObjectScale with Cloudera, joint customers can compute wherever their data resides, with governed metadata & low-latency access

Cloudera, the only company enabling AI on data anywhere, announced the integration of Dell ObjectScale with its platform, enhancing their joint AI-in-a-Box offering and delivering a fully integrated Private AI solution built for scale, governance, and cost transparency. The collaboration equips joint customers with a validated data platform, enabling them to run all Cloudera compute engines directly on Dell Technologies ObjectScale storage. The Private AI platform was officially unveiled at Cloudera EVOLVE25, the company’s flagship data and AI event, held at the Glasshouse in New York City.

Enterprise AI adoption continues to face significant hurdles due to data complexity and accessibility. Cloudera’s latest survey report, The Evolution of AI: The State of Enterprise AI and Data Architecture, also announced today, revealed that IT leaders employ diverse storage architectures 63% use private cloud, 52% use public cloud, and 42% rely on data warehouses. Without secure, comprehensive management of enterprise data in all its forms, organizations struggle to deploy AI effectively for strategic decision-making.

To overcome these challenges, Cloudera partnered with Dell Technologies, enabling joint customers to consolidate structured and unstructured data in a single, accessible, and secure location. As the only data and AI platform bringing AI directly to data, Cloudera allows enterprises to govern, secure, and organize their data efficiently.

The integration also enables Cloudera users to leverage Dell ObjectScale as an S3-compatible object store for AI workloads, powering:

  • Cloudera AI Workbench: A secure environment for building, training, and refining AI models using governed data

  • Cloudera Inference Service: Efficient, large-scale deployment and use of AI models

  • Cloudera Agent Studio: Tools to design and implement intelligent AI agents that automate business operations

By combining Dell Technologies’ AI infrastructure expertise with Cloudera’s secure data platform and AI services, the partnership delivers a complete Private AI system that accelerates AI adoption, lowers total costs, and instills trust in AI operations critical for regulated industries. Enterprises can now overcome data mobility challenges, simplify AI management, and deploy AI-driven agents securely and efficiently.

“Businesses need AI systems that can grow with them, keep data secure, and have clear, predictable costs,” said Abhas Ricky, Chief Strategy Officer, Cloudera. “Bringing Dell ObjectScale together with Cloudera enables organizations to industrialize AI use cases using secure data, deploy them efficiently, and create smart agents, all with predictable economics, and without hidden fees. This is the quickest and most reliable way for large companies to put AI to work and create intelligent agents. Cloudera is uniquely positioned to unify governed enterprise data with AI services on modern storage, creating the only Private AI platform that combines governance, performance, and clear economics at an industrial scale.”

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to giving customers more flexibility in managing and scaling their data,” said Travis Vigil, senior vice president, ISG Product Management, Dell Technologies. “With Dell ObjectScale now integrated with Cloudera, we’re helping customers bring storage and AI closer together to empower smarter, faster decision-making that drives business growth.”
