SolarWinds Deepens AI Strategy – Integrates Amazon Bedrock for Generative AI at Scale

Related stories

SolarWinds has announced an expanded collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), integrating Amazon Bedrock across its product portfolio to power generative-AI capabilities and deliver comprehensive observability.

The dual-pronged integration underscores SolarWinds’ commitment to AI innovation: first, by enabling generative AI capabilities within the SolarWinds Platform and SolarWinds Service Desk; and second, by allowing SolarWinds Observability SaaS to monitor Amazon Bedrock services directly giving users visibility into one of the world’s most advanced AI infrastructures.

Bedrock Powers SolarWinds AI

As per the IT Trends Report 2025, 68% of IT leaders consider AI essential for resilience and efficiency highlighting a growing demand for transparent, practical AI with measurable results.

SolarWinds is harnessing the Anthropic family of Claude models via Amazon Bedrock, enabling conversational, context-aware features across its suite. These include automated ticket summarization, incident correlation, and intelligent recommendations within SolarWinds Service Desk. The underlying orchestration is managed by the SolarWinds LLM Gateway, which follows SolarWinds’ “AI by Design” principles to provide secure model abstraction across different models.

“Amazon Bedrock gives us a secure, scalable foundation to extend SolarWinds AI across our entire portfolio,” said Krishna Sai, CTO, SolarWinds. “It enables our teams to innovate faster and deliver real-time intelligence and downstream value to customers, while ensuring their data remains private, protected, and under their control.”

Observability SaaS Gains Bedrock Monitoring Capabilities

In parallel, SolarWinds Observability SaaS now treats Amazon Bedrock workloads as first-class monitored resources. IT teams can monitor real-time performance including invocation rates, latency, token throughput, throttling, and overall health via customizable dashboards and automated alerts powered by the SolarWinds Platform. This expansion enables end-to-end insight even for the most sophisticated AI workloads.

“With unified observability, organizations have confidence their AI systems perform reliably, securely, and at scale, accelerating their journey toward autonomous operational resilience,” said Cullen Childress, CPO, SolarWinds.

Building on Momentum: AI Agent and Broader AI-Driven Automation

The newly announced integration builds on earlier innovations such as the SolarWinds AI Agent, which already leverages Amazon Bedrock. The AI Agent functions as a virtual teammate summarizing incidents, identifying probable root causes, recommending fixes, and automating multi-step workflows through natural-language interaction.

By embedding Anthropic Claude 4 and Claude 4.5 models via Bedrock, SolarWinds extends the Agent’s capabilities across observability, database, and IT service management. These advancements rest on the company’s “AI by Design” and “Secure by Design” frameworks reflecting a commitment to transparency, safety, and customer trust.
