Gartner defines LCAPs as application platforms used to quickly develop and run custom applications by abstracting and minimizing the use of programming languages. Enterprise LCAPs are a subset of this market, targeting a wide range of developers – particularly enterprise developers – and providing features essential to application deployment and maintenance in medium and large enterprises. These features include support for high performance, application availability and scalability, disaster recovery, security, API access to (and from) enterprise and third-party cloud services, usage monitoring, service level agreements, and technical support availability and training.
