Infosys, a world, renowned digital services and consulting firm, has entered a strategic alliance with Anthropic, a prominent AI safety and research company, to offer state, of, the, art enterprise AI solutions for companies operating in environments that are highly regulated and have intricate operations.
The initial focus will be setting up an Anthropic Center of Excellence in the telecom sector together, and the center will work on creating and using AI agents tailored to the needs of the industry. Afterward, they will be targeting other important sectors like financial services, manufacturing, and software development for the next phases of their collaboration.
Driving Transformation with Integrated AI Technologies
At the heart of the collaboration is the integration of Anthropic’s Claude models including Claude Code with the Infosys Topaz AI suite. This combined technology stack is designed to help enterprises automate complex workflows, accelerate software delivery, and adopt AI solutions with strong governance and transparency a critical requirement for regulated industries.
Infosys and Anthropic aim to elevate enterprise operating models by deploying agentic AI systems that go beyond simple query responses. These systems will be capable of independently managing multi-step, high-value processes, such as complex compliance reviews, claims processing, and code generation and testing.

Industry-Focused AI Agents and Business Outcomes
Under the collaboration, the partners will develop custom AI agents focused on delivering tangible business value:
- Telecommunications: AI agents will enhance network operations, streamline customer lifecycle management, and improve service delivery in one of the most regulated and operationally intense sectors.
- Financial Services: Agents will assist with risk detection, automate compliance reporting, and offer personalized customer interactions by analyzing comprehensive data.
- Manufacturing & Engineering: Claude models will support accelerated product design and simulation, shortening R&D timelines and enabling more iterative testing.
- Software Development: Using Claude Code, development teams can write, test, and debug code more efficiently, a capability already being adopted within Infosys’ Exponential Engineering organization.
Bridging the Gap Between AI Research and Real-World Impact
Commenting on the collaboration, Dario Amodei, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Anthropic, stated: “There’s a big gap between an AI model that works in a demo and one that works in a regulated industry – and if you want to close that gap, you need domain expertise. Infosys has exactly that kind of expertise across important industries: telecom, financial services, and manufacturing. Their developers are already using Claude Code to accelerate their work and to create AI agents for industries that demand precision, compliance, and deep domain knowledge.”
Echoing the strategic importance of the alliance, Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer, Infosys, said: “AI is not just transforming business – it is redefining the way industries operate and innovate. Our collaboration with Anthropic marks a strategic leap toward advancing enterprise AI, enabling organizations to unlock value and become more intelligent, resilient, and responsible. From modernizing financial services with intelligent risk management and compliance, to enabling engineering businesses to lead with AI-driven design and manufacturing, the goal is to leverage the joint expertise of Infosys and Anthropic to accelerate AI value realization for global enterprises.”
