Trustwave, a global cybersecurity and managed security services leader, announced it won “Best Advance in Corporate Culture Transformation” in Brandon Hall Group’s coveted 2023 HCM Excellence Awards.

The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards recognize best practices for initiatives in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the Future of Work. Brandon Hall Group is a professional development company offering data, research, insights, and certification to Learning and Talent executives and organizations.

“We are honored to be recognized by Brandon Hall Group for the success of our cultural transformation that we’ve driven for the past two years,” said Oriana Vogel, Chief Human Resources Officer at Trustwave. “This award validates our approach to creating an entirely new culture that is purpose-built to meet both our talent objectives, as well as the broader needs of the business. We’re dedicated to being a great place to work for our Trustees that prioritizes transparent leadership, continuous learning and development, and meaningful corporate values.”

As part of its transformation, Trustwave incorporated input from across the business and built a talent philosophy focused on high performance and transparency, constructed new corporate values, developed an inclusive leadership model, formalized its first-ever employee value proposition, and instituted Moments that Matter, a hybrid approach to work.

In response to its new cultural framework and even amidst the Great Reshuffle, Trustwave’s voluntary attrition rate dropped by 13% in the last year. The retention rate for Trustwave’s top performers is now 1.1x the company’s overall retention rate. Even more notably, in its most recent employee survey, Trustwave’s overall engagement score improved 10 points over the last year, and 21 points over the last three years. Trustwave also has an A+ rating on Comparably and a 4.4/5 rating on Glassdoor.

“Excellence Award winners are shown to be organizations that truly value their employees and invest in them through their human capital management programs,” said Brandon Hall Group Chief Operating Officer Rachel Cooke, HCM Excellence Awards program leader. “These HCM programs have been validated as best in class for business value and the impact on the employees themselves.”

Entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts, and executives based on these criteria:

  • Alignment to their business need and environment
  • Program design, functionality, and delivery
  • Adoption, integration, user experience, innovation, and creativity
  • Overall effectiveness, impact, and measurable benefits.

“Our award winners are relentless in their pursuit of excellence,” said Brandon Hall Group Chief Executive Officer Mike Cooke. “We have received some of the most innovative use of HCM strategy that we have seen in the last 30 years, and in most cases, technology and collaboration across departments have helped them achieve amazing business results.”

Excellence Award winners will continue to be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference, February 13-15, 2024, at the Hilton West Palm Beach, Florida. Select winners also will serve as presenters in breakout sessions, sharing their leading practices during the conference.
