AI collaboration and new security capabilities delivered via AWS simplify adoption of AI-powered cybersecurity

Trellix, a leader in AI-driven cybersecurity, announced significant advancements in its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), aimed at simplifying the adoption of cutting-edge, AI-powered security solutions. This strengthened collaboration focuses on bolstering cyber defenses and ensuring AI technologies are both resilient and secure for enterprise customers.

“In the era of rapid AI expansion, the symbiotic relationship between AI and security must be addressed,” said Sean Morton, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Trellix. “Together with AWS, we are focused on not only ensuring AI is embedded in security to allow optimum resilience, but also in securing AI itself. This is essential to ensuring organizations can use AI without compromising data integrity, trust, or compliance, particularly for those in regulated sectors.”

Advancing GenAI-Driven Security Solutions

As part of their newly expanded Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA), Trellix and AWS are co-developing next-generation AI-based security capabilities. Leveraging Amazon Bedrock and other AWS AI services, the two companies aim to address critical cybersecurity challenges with GenAI-powered innovations fully integrated into the Trellix Security Platform. This initiative is designed to deliver scalable, intelligence-driven solutions to help organizations proactively defend against evolving threats.

Enhancing Cloud Security Capabilities for AWS Customers

Trellix is introducing a suite of enhanced features tailored for AWS environments, focusing on data protection, identity security, and streamlined deployment:

  • Comprehensive Database Security: As enterprises increasingly migrate databases to the cloud, protecting sensitive assets becomes crucial—especially when training AI models with proprietary data. Trellix Database Security now supports Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for MariaDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, offering real-time monitoring, built-in compliance tools, granular event logging, and incident response capabilities. Upcoming releases will expand this coverage to additional AWS database services.

  • Improved Identity and Access Management (IAM): With integration between AWS IAM Access Analyzer and the Trellix Security Platform, customers gain deeper visibility into access controls and identity-related risks. Users can now analyze IAM permissions across multiple policy types, map internal and external access behavior, and implement custom alerts and automated remediation via Amazon EventBridge.

  • Streamlined Procurement and Deployment: Trellix has earned the AWS Marketplace Architecture Excellence designation, underscoring its alignment with AWS’s architectural standards. This recognition gives customers clearer insight into Trellix’s integrations and simplifies deployment. Additionally, Trellix solutions are now eligible under AWS Private Pricing Agreements (PPA), helping customers optimize budgets and meet committed cloud spend goals faster.

“Let’s face it; security is hard. Complexity makes the job even harder,” said Frank Dickson, Vice President of Security and Trust, IDC. “When infrastructure and security collaborate to make security easier to implement and integrate, organizations can reduce risk, speed up response times, and better protect their most critical assets and data. We all win.”
