His earlier career also includes leadership positions at Matillion, Medallia, and Oracle. At Matillion, he served as Chief Engineering Officer and was associated with the company’s Data Productivity Cloud initiatives.
The appointment comes as identity technology becomes increasingly important for organizations adopting AI and autonomous systems. Okta has been expanding its focus on securing human and AI identities, while Auth0 continues to serve developers building applications that require authentication and authorization. Okta describes Auth0 as its developer-first platform for digital identity.
For Asmar, the new position marks a return to a broader technology leadership role, with Auth0 sitting at the intersection of developer platforms, identity, cybersecurity, and the evolving requirements of AI-enabled applications.
