Horizon3 and Pax8 Expand Regional Alliance to Deliver Autonomous Penetration Testing to European MSPs

Horizon3, a provider of AI-driven proactive security solutions, has expanded its strategic partnership with cloud marketplace distributor Pax8 across Europe. The agreement makes Horizon3’s NodeZero® Proactive Security Platform directly accessible to European managed service providers (MSPs) via the Pax8 Marketplace.

Following the pilot deployment in North America, the expansion of the collaboration will enable IT channel partners in Europe to integrate ongoing and automated offensive security testing into their portfolio. The system will provide MSPs with the ability to help SMBs understand how their security can be attacked, mitigate risks according to impact on the security and prove patch effectiveness mathematically.

Moving Beyond Vulnerability Lists to Validated Attack Paths

Conventional cybersecurity strategies usually inundate service providers with unranked lists of vulnerabilities in software products without any additional information about whether such vulnerabilities pose direct threats to operations or not. NodeZero solves this problem through running autonomous penetration tests inside live production environments with the use of attack methods in controlled conditions.

The platform has the ability to assess on-premise, cloud, and web applications for security. NodeZero learns about ways in which attackers exploit multiple small security weaknesses in order to escalate privileges, obtain access, and exfiltrate information from enterprises.

For specialized environments, NodeZero WebApp extends these capabilities to proprietary, mission-critical application software. It conducts authenticated security evaluations to uncover complex logic flaws and broken access controls risks that standard vulnerability scanners routinely miss.

“MSPs are accountable for protecting their customers’ security, but a list of vulnerabilities does not tell them what is actually exploitable, and their level of exposure,” said Keith Poyser, General Manager & SVP EMEA, at Horizon3. “NodeZero gives partners that information and a way to fix, and then verify these exploits are remediated. Expanding our relationship with Pax8 brings this capability to more MSPs across Europe, helping them build services around measurable reductions in customer exposure and continuous testing.”
Generating Recurring Revenue via Measurable Security Results

NodeZero provides a multi-tenant platform, white-label reporting engine, and MSP licensing to facilitate channel partners in integrating proactive security assessments in their recurring services.

With the help of the platform, the MSP is able to design services in relation to the following operational use cases:

• Autonomous Penetration Testing: Carrying out automated security assessment of cloud workload, identity platform, and web applications.

• Threat-driven Remediation: Prioritizing internal IT investments in addressing the vulnerabilities that can be leveraged as an attack vector.

• Automated Testing of Remediations: Re-testing the remediated vulnerabilities to ensure that the exploited attack vectors have been effectively patched.

• Threat-driven Testing: Assessing the exposure of the vulnerability to threat vectors such as the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV).

The outcome-based approach helps MSPs implement a security management process in collaboration with their customers that transforms technical correction into tangible business security.

The launch in Europe is another step in Horizon3’s geographic growth across the EMEA region, where the company’s European Headquarters is located in Amsterdam.
