Cloudflare, the market leader in the connectivity cloud space, is pleased to announce its strategic alliance with Google Cloud subsidiary Wiz, the market leader in cloud and AI security. Through this alliance, security teams will have an integrated framework to evaluate and protect their AI-powered applications throughout the business environment.
With the integration of Cloudflare’s AI Security for Apps to the Wiz Security Graph, companies will be able to gain an overview of their AI-powered application landscape and get access to the necessary tools needed to ensure protection. It helps resolve an ongoing problem in the market whereby new features are deployed faster than security teams can monitor them.
Removing AI Blind Spots Through the integration, users will be able to automatically eliminate AI blind spots within their entire ecosystem, allowing for a smoother journey into AI technology. With the Cloudflare AI Security for Apps, users can set up edge guardrails against emerging threats targeting AI endpoints, such as prompt injection and exposure to malicious content. In parallel, Wiz’s AI Application Protection Platform (AI-APP) is designed to map the entire application architecture.

By feeding Cloudflare’s security rules into the Wiz Security Graph, teams can prioritize risks based on real-world exploitability. This gives CISOs granular visibility into the Large Language Models (LLMs) operating across their web properties, alongside the runtime controls necessary to enforce enterprise policies. Notably, both Cloudflare and Wiz remain model and host-agnostic, securing endpoints regardless of the specific LLM or cloud provider utilized.
“AI is the most transformative technology we’ve seen in a generation, powering countless capabilities. But for a majority of businesses, it can be a black box. When talking with CISOs today, they are struggling with the balance of being an enabler of innovation with AI, while combating uncontrolled shadow AI across their organization because their legacy security tools are effectively useless at this level,” said Tom Evans, Chief Partner Officer at Cloudflare. “The Cloudflare and Wiz partnership helps tackle this trade-off. Now, we are delivering a solution to allow innovation with AI at speed, without the worry that their most sensitive data will be exposed.”
Closing the Gap Between Visibility and Protection The partnership focuses on four key pillars of AI security:
- Real-Time Traffic Inspection: Cloudflare AI Security for Apps scans requests to LLM endpoints to identify PII leakage and prompt injection without adding latency.
- Sensitive Data Mapping: Wiz maps data flows between applications and models onto its Security Graph, identifying where sensitive data interacts with AI workloads.
- Guardrail Verification: Wiz identifies if AI deployments are missing Cloudflare’s protection, alerting teams for immediate remediation.
- Risk-Based Prioritization: The integration highlights which unprotected endpoints have access to production systems, allowing teams to fix high-risk gaps first.
“Security alignment isn’t just about reducing risk, it’s an enabler of AI application development,” said Oron Noah, VP of Product, Extensibility & Partnerships at Wiz. “By combining Wiz’s end-to-end visibility with Cloudflare’s edge protections, we close a critical gap in how AI risk is managed. This partnership gives organizations a unified view of AI application endpoints and shared risk context, helping them stop threats like prompt injection and shadow AI before they start.”
Seamless Integration for Modern Enterprises The solution offers a seamless experience without requiring custom workflows or the deployment of additional agents. Because Cloudflare’s detections operate inline on its massive global network, organizations can achieve robust AI security without making architectural changes or sacrificing performance.
