BMC, a global leader in software solutions enabling business faster than humanly possible, announced the appointment of Abhijit Kakhandiki as senior vice president and general manager of Digital Business Automation, effective now.

As the leader for Digital Business Automation at BMC, Kakhandiki and his team will help businesses unlock innovation by using automation to dynamically connect systems, data, and people to the work that matters, with the Control-M solution from BMC – the industry-leading self-hosted and SaaS application and data workflow orchestration platform. He will report to Ayman Sayed, president and chief executive officer.

With more than 25 years of experience in enterprise technology, Kakhandiki is a seasoned leader with a distinguished track record in new product development, go-to-market, improved product P&L performance, SaaS excellence, and driving business growth.

Recently, he served as the chief product and AI officer at Redwood Software and has held numerous product and engineering leadership positions at Automation Anywhere, Autodesk, Oracle, and LiveRamp.

Kakhandiki’s appointment follows the departure of Gur Steif. Since joining BMC, Steif has played a pivotal role in driving the Digital Business Automation business, accelerating company growth, and leading operational strategy.
