Combination will fast-track Genpact’s expansion of advanced technology solutions, amplifying data and AI capabilities, domain expertise, and strategic partnerships

Genpact, a global leader in advanced technology services and digital transformation, has announced the acquisition of XponentL Data, a provider of data products and AI-powered solutions. This strategic move strengthens Genpact’s capabilities across the full spectrum of AI transformation—from strategic planning to full-scale deployment—further advancing its shift toward an AI-first future.

XponentL Data brings to Genpact a strong foundation in domain-centric data strategy, architecture, and engineering. With deep industry knowledge and a track record of innovative solutions, XponentL enhances Genpact’s ability to deliver scalable, high-impact outcomes across industries. The acquisition also extends Genpact’s ecosystem of strategic technology alliances, including Databricks, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft.

“We believe the future belongs to companies that deploy AI at speed and scale – on a bedrock of data expertise,” said Balkrishan ‘BK’ Kalra, President and Chief Executive Officer, Genpact. “At Genpact, we have been steadily pivoting to an AI-first future, and today’s acquisition is another proof point of our commitment to deliver client value through innovative solutions. XponentL’s robust intellectual property will further strengthen how Genpact can help clients harness the full value of their data. We are incredibly excited to welcome XponentL Data to the Genpact team.”

A recognized Databricks partner, XponentL enhances Genpact’s training and implementation capabilities across leading cloud and data platforms. The company also contributes a suite of pre-built, industry-specific AI solutions designed to accelerate ROI and reduce time to value.

This integration deepens Genpact’s ability to support clients in scaling AI and data initiatives, with a focus on operational excellence and intelligent automation. It will also accelerate Genpact’s Service-as-Agentic-Solutions and fuel its AI Gigafactory initiative by integrating domain-specific expertise in sectors such as Life Sciences and Healthcare.

“XponentL Data has been a pioneer in applying intelligent agents and modern data architectures on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to drive real-world impact. Their acquisition by Genpact—a global leader in digital transformation and operational excellence—creates a unique combination of innovation and scale,” said Michael Hartman, Senior Vice President, Americas Industry, Databricks. “We’re excited to support this next chapter as they help enterprises operationalize AI and drive measurable business value.”

XponentL is headquartered in Pennsylvania and operates on a global scale. As part of the integration, Tom Johnstone will continue to lead the XponentL business, and all existing XponentL employees will transition to Genpact.
