WRITER, a leading provider of agentic AI solutions for the enterprise, has announced the launch of WRITER Action Agent, a powerful new super agent designed to autonomously execute complex knowledge work at scale. This next-generation agent integrates advanced action capabilities, deep research, and full computer usage, delivering end-to-end task execution with enterprise-grade governance, control, and transparency.

“With the launch of Action Agent, WRITER is taking a significant step toward AGI in the enterprise,” said May Habib, CEO and Co-founder, WRITER. “Other AI chatbots can tell you what to do. Action Agent does it. It’s the difference between getting a research report and having your entire sales pipeline updated and acted upon. We believe it will transform the fabric of how our enterprise customers operate.”

Built to assist professionals with strategic, high-impact projects, WRITER Action Agent acts as a trusted partner that brings creativity, nuance, and precision to every task. Currently available in beta, it complements WRITER’s expansive library of specialized agents tailored for repeatable team workflows. Action Agent is the latest enhancement to WRITER’s comprehensive AI agent platform, which includes robust tools for building, activating, and managing AI agents at enterprise scale.

The new offering is powered by Palmyra X5, WRITER’s most advanced adaptive reasoning large language model. Action Agent recently achieved a market-leading 61% score on the GAIA Level 3 benchmark—surpassing performance metrics of Manus, OpenAI Deep Research, and other notable AI models. It also secured the top position on the CUB leaderboard, a benchmark designed to evaluate computer and browser use agents, with a record score of 10.4%.

Unlocking Multi-Tool Autonomy Across Enterprise Systems

WRITER Action Agent introduces an unmatched level of autonomy with its ability to manage and execute complex workflows using over 600 planned system connectors. Every session runs on an isolated virtual computer, enabling the agent to:

  • Independently browse the internet, engage with specialized data sources, and perform technical tasks such as software deployment and system operations

  • Create and execute dynamic, multi-step plans while continuously adapting and self-correcting

  • Work across multiple tasks simultaneously, even after users log off or shut their laptops

  • Generate structured outputs, including images, visualizations, Excel sheets, presentations, and PDFs

  • Provide organizations with a searchable audit trail and full visibility into agent decisions, plans, and activity

For instance, when performing a product analysis, Action Agent autonomously pulls and processes thousands of customer reviews, conducts sentiment analysis, identifies key trends, and compiles the results into a ready-to-present deck. If a step fails, the agent diagnoses the issue, recalibrates its approach, and resumes execution without losing context.

In the near future, WRITER will enable secure connections to over 80 enterprise and third-party platforms, including PitchBook and FactSet. These integrations will allow the agent not only to read from, but also write to and initiate high-value workflows across these systems via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) gateway.

Enterprise users will also benefit from WRITER’s agent supervision dashboard, which offers detailed visibility and control for admins and builders. IT teams can oversee tool configurations, monitor permissions, and track usage at both the user and agent level throughout the organization.

Built for Trust, Backed by Industry Leaders

WRITER’s enterprise-first approach continues with Action Agent, which inherits the platform’s multi-layered security architecture, customizable guardrails, and centralized oversight. Existing customers—including Accenture, Vanguard, Qualcomm, Uber, Salesforce, and Prudential—already rely on WRITER to automate critical processes with trust and accuracy.

“As agent autonomy increases, so does operational risk, which is why we’ve put industry-leading transparency, security, and control at the core of WRITER Action Agent,” said Waseem AlShikh, WRITER CTO and Co-founder. “This is not a consumer agent retrofitted for the enterprise. It’s natively part of a secure platform already in daily use by hundreds of highly-regulated companies and many of the largest organizations across the Fortune 500.”

WRITER’s partnership with Uber played a crucial role in the development of Action Agent. Uber’s AI Solutions team contributed deep operational expertise, helping the WRITER team scale high-quality data annotation efforts across complex enterprise domains.

“At Uber, we operate at a global scale where precision and efficiency are paramount. Our collaboration with WRITER allowed us to contribute our deep operational expertise in high-quality data annotation to help shape an agent capable of tackling the most complex enterprise challenges,” said Megha Yethadka, GM and Head of Uber AI Solutions. “WRITER’s Action Agent is a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to innovation, and we’re excited by its potential.”

Industry analysts are also recognizing the growing strategic importance of AI agents in enterprise operations.

“AI agents are becoming an important strategic advantage for enterprises to reinvent operations and deliver better customer and employee experiences,” said Arnal Dayaratna, Research Vice President at IDC. “Today’s most advanced agents are able to interact across different systems and processes, flexibly plan and adapt to solve goals, and autonomously take action in their environment. WRITER‘s new general-purpose Action Agent is a leading example of frontier innovation expanding the boundaries for the work AI can perform on behalf of people.”
