Global leader in service robotics debuts company’s first robot designed to maneuver in complex industrial facility environments

Pudu Robotics , a global leader in service robotics, announced the launch of its first robot designed specifically for industrial applications – the PUDU T300, which will debut at Hannover Messe 2024. Manufacturers around the world face challenges adapting to changing market demands and production variability. Therefore, it has become essential to create more agile, responsive and flexible production lines.

Designed to improve material logistics in discrete manufacturing, the PUDU T300 excels at streamlining operations by delivering supplies to production lines, transferring materials across different production areas, and facilitating sample transportation for quality controls. Featuring advanced maneuverability, it is able to skillfully navigate narrow corridors typical of industrial environments. With its map-and-go functionality, the T300 ensures flexible deployment, operating independently of network connectivity and without the need for environmental modifications, enabling rapid and adaptable integration into existing workflows.

“There is strong demand from industrial customers for automated and flexible robotic solutions capable of continuous operation to meet high production rates and improve operational efficiency,” said Felix Zhang , founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics. “As manufacturers struggle to attract and retain talent, the T300 immediately bridges the gap by seamlessly integrating with current facility processes, while optimizing operations to drive innovation across the industry.”

The PUDU T300 is based on the company’s own technology, PUDU VSLAM+ , the advanced visual positioning system that enables marker-free navigation. This ensures that the PUDU T300 can quickly adapt to changes in production configuration without requiring time-consuming reconfiguration or site remodeling. PUDU T300 features include:

  • Exceptional Maneuverability: With the ability to navigate spaces as narrow as 60cm and cross 2cm thresholds and 3.5cm gutters, the PUDU T300 can move effortlessly between production lines, delivering supplies without issue.
  • Advanced Navigation and Deployment: The PUDU T300 supports a fusion of laser SLAM and visual SLAM for positioning, skillfully adapting to environments with ceilings up to 30 meters. It updates its map in real time for consistent, reliable navigation and works in spaces up to 200,000 square meters.
  • IoT Capabilities:  The PUDU T300 includes secure door access, elevator control, self-configuring network with calling options, and production line material requests via app to seamlessly integrate into production processes.
  • Multi-Modal Interaction: High-brightness operation indicator lights and signal light design clearly indicate the PUDU T300’s position and cruising intentions, with customizable buttons for organized collaboration and audible alerts for effective reminders.
  • Efficient Charging:  The PUDU T300 features automatic charging capabilities and interchangeable battery, enabling 24/7 continuous operation to meet different customer application requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: The PUDU T300 complies with ISO 3691-4 Industrial Safety Standards and includes lidar, depth camera, crash protection edges and emergency stop buttons for safe operation.

The PUDU T300 can be used to improve production lines throughout the manufacturing sector, including 3C electronics manufacturers, automotive parts processing facilities, metallurgy, semiconductor manufacturing plants, among others. others.
