Artificial intelligence software creation platform Emergent has officially secured $130 million in Series C funding, propelling its valuation to $1.5 billion. The financing round was led by Creaegis, alongside co-lead investors MNI Ventures – Claypond Capital and Sentinel Global. Capital raising activities have been characterized by involvement of some top venture capitalists such as Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator.
This is the fifth consecutive valuation rise in only four months to make Emergent a unicorn within just one year after going public. The achievement positions the company amongst some of the quickest-growing enterprise AI platforms in the world on the basis of growing demand for bespoke software without the need for development constraints.

Since its launch, Emergent’s platform has powered the creation of over 12 million applications worldwide. While adoption remains exceptionally strong across North America and Europe, the platform is experiencing rapid market penetration across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, South America, and the wider Americas.
Speaking on the funding announcement, Mukund Jha, Co-founder and CEO, Emergent said, “The real impact of the AI revolution will be a complete democratization of who gets to build what software, where they get to build it, and how much it costs. It’s about making software development accessible to the people closest to the problem, regardless of their technical knowledge. With a platform like Emergent, the people who have great ideas and deep domain expertise can now build and run the software their business needs to succeed at a fraction of the cost.”
Solving the Software Engineering Bottleneck
Emergent is specifically designed to solve the systemic problem that plagues contemporary businesses; access to specialized engineering resources is restricted. Although companies need customized software in order to be competitive in today’s business environment, following the conventional development path is expensive, tedious, and requires a lot of technical expertise.
Emergent solves this problem through using self-governing AI systems which are able to create entire stack, production-quality applications including CRMs, ERPs, custom marketplaces, mobile applications, internal processes, and customer facing tools using plain-language prompts.
“We built Emergent for the non-technical entrepreneur and the small business owner, with 70% of our users having no prior coding experience,” Jha adds. “We give these users a new path beyond generic SaaS, slow and expensive dev shops, lightweight prototype tools, or waiting for technical talent to which they may never have access.”
“Small businesses today have a historic moment to build, automate, and operate using autonomous platforms and address their disadvantages in the previous era,” said Prakash Parthasarathy, Managing Partner, Creaegis. “Emergent is enabling every entrepreneur and business to embrace this change with production-grade software and automation.”
By aligning software production with frontline domain experts rather than purely technical teams, Emergent aims to reshape how software is architected, deployed, and scaled globally.
