Alyson Weinstein has moved into a new leadership role at Salesforce as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Revenue Officer for Data 360 and Tableau. The move brings sales leadership and data-driven technology further together as enterprises increasingly rely on unified data and AI to support business decisions.

Weinstein announced the transition on LinkedIn, describing the new position as a broader role spanning Data 360 and Tableau. She also reflected on her time at Salesforce and the teams and customers she has worked with during her career at the company.

Weinstein has been part of Salesforce’s sales leadership organization, with her recent responsibilities including the Digital, Industry, Consumer and Lifestyle Entertainment segments. Salesforce’s public event information has also featured her as an SVP of Sales working with retail and consumer-focused organizations.

Her new remit comes as data platforms and analytics become increasingly important to enterprise AI strategies. Salesforce has positioned Data 360 as a foundation for connecting information across different systems and making that data available to applications, analytics, and AI agents. Tableau, meanwhile, continues to play a role in helping organizations turn business data into visual insights and decisions.

The combination of Data 360 and Tableau also reflects a broader shift in enterprise technology. Companies are moving beyond isolated AI experiments and looking at how data infrastructure, analytics, automation, and AI can operate together across business functions.

Weinstein’s appointment places revenue leadership closer to this convergence. As organizations evaluate AI investments, technology vendors are increasingly expected to demonstrate how data and analytics can translate into practical business outcomes rather than simply offering new technical capabilities.

Her move therefore highlights how commercial leadership is evolving alongside the enterprise AI market, where data quality, accessibility, analytics, and AI readiness are becoming closely connected priorities.
