Compal Electronics and Verda, the Helsinki-based European provider of cloud-based AI services designed to meet the demands of cutting-edge model training and agentic inference, announced a strategic partnership under which Compal will provide next-generation GPU server systems to accelerate the deployment of its next-generation AI infrastructure across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of this collaboration, Compal will provide high-density, liquid-cooled AI server platforms. These platforms are designed for the workloads that define the next wave of AI: agentic applications that process extensive contexts and operate at a high level of concurrency, while maintaining the thermal efficiency required for sustainable Verda deployments in cloud computing.
This partnership illustrates the growing global interest in Verda’s services, as well as Compal’s increasing role as an infrastructure partner for neo-cloud operators responding to the rising demand for localized computing capacity for AI. As businesses and governments place increasing emphasis on data residency, security, and regulatory compliance, neo-cloud providers like Verda are emerging as key enablers of sovereign AI strategies.

“Verda’s platform reflects the trend in AI infrastructure demand towards regional, high-performance, and energy-efficient deployments,” said Alan Chang, vice president of the Infrastructure Solutions Business Group (ISBG) at Compal. “This collaboration demonstrates our ability to deliver advanced AI systems at scale for customers building the next generation of AI services in the cloud.”
“Our mission is to build the next generation of cloud infrastructure for AI and empower pioneering teams worldwide. Working with Compal helps us deliver world-class quality and reliability, and represents an important step in our plans to expand our presence in the Asia-Pacific region. We look forward to continuing this project,” said Jorge Santos, CEO of Verda.
Compal provides deep technical expertise in accelerated computing, advanced thermal design, and systems integration, enabling customers to efficiently deploy AI infrastructure while managing power density and operational complexity. To support global AI deployments, Compal continues to expand its manufacturing presence in Taiwan, Vietnam, and the United States, strengthening supply chain resilience and aligning production capacity with regional customer requirements.
