Advantech and NETINT Redefine Video Infrastructure with High-Density VPU-Powered Streaming

Related stories

Advantech has announced a strategic collaboration with NETINT Technologies to introduce a new generation of video infrastructure designed for high efficiency and scalability, combining Advantech’s VEGA series edge servers with NETINT’s ASIC-based Smart Video Processing Units (VPUs) to significantly boost streams-per-system while lowering total cost of ownership and enabling more predictable, high-performance deployments across live streaming, broadcasting, and video production environments. Advantech and NETINT Technologies aim to address the growing demand for efficiency-driven video architectures by delivering superior streams-per-watt performance compared to traditional CPU- or GPU-based systems, ensuring consistent and deterministic processing for better capacity planning. At the core of the solution is Advantech’s VEGA platform, including the VEGA-6321 mini server powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NETINT Quadra T1M modules, capable of supporting up to 20 real-time live streams in a compact form factor suited for mobile broadcasting and remote production, while the upcoming VEGA-7141 1U server leverages AMD EPYC 9005 processors and supports up to twelve NETINT Quadra T1U modules to deliver up to 384 simultaneous 1080p streams, highlighting a major leap in transcoding density and throughput for large-scale deployments.
