IBM and ElevenLabs Integrate Premium Speech Capabilities into Agentic Workflows

Related stories

IBM and ElevenLabs have recently announced a strategic partnership to humanize digital interfaces of the modern enterprise by jointly integrating highly advanced Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Speech-to-Text (STT) technologies in the IBM WatsonX Orchestrate platform. Via this partnership the two companies are transforming the agential AI from text-based automation to the fully voice-driven interfaces capable of simulating natural human conversation.

As businesses increasingly adopt agential AI for handling complex processes and tasks, the demand for simple, uncluttered, and accessible user interfaces has risen dramatically.

Normally, voice-driven automation interfaces are rigid and often sound mechanical and unfriendly. Through granting IBM clients access to the top-notch audio models of ElevenLabs, they are now able to create agential AI agents who speak and interact with users in a way that is not only very natural and human-like but also support 70 languages and different regional accents.

The partnership changes the way government departments, healthcare facilities, and banks communicate with their citizens and clients. As an illustration, government services may deploy such speech-powered assistants to deliver langage assistance for primary services like education or involvement in public matters in a way that will be understood by different communities.

“Together with IBM, we’re helping organizations replace robotic interactions with AI agents that people actually want to talk to, built with the security and compliance controls that enterprises require,” said the spokesperson for ElevenLabs.

Scalable Orchestration with Enterprise Rigor IBM watsonx Orchestrate is a single command center for building, managing, and governing AI agents. With the addition of ElevenLabs’ library of over 10,000 high-fidelity voices, the platform now provides a solid base for high-volume and concurrent conversations. This guarantees that as businesses scale their AI operations across the globe, the integrity of their brand voice stays intact.

“We’re bringing a voice to AI Agents in the enterprise. As clients increasingly deploy agentic AI that interacts with their customers and employees, they want these experiences to feel intuitive, responsive and accessible,” said Nick Holda, Vice President, AI Technology Partnerships at IBM. “IBM’s open ecosystem approach offers clients the flexibility to choose the models and tools that fit their business, and our integration of ElevenLabs into watsonx Orchestrate is a powerful example of that – enabling enterprises to deploy AI agents that sound natural, scale globally, and address security, reliability and compliance.”

A Future Built on Trust and Innovation The partnership meets critical enterprise needs such as adherence to PCI and HIPAA compliance standards, which is critical in deploying applications in regulated industries. The partnership between ElevenLabs and IBM is likely to continue as they seek to help enterprises move beyond text-based agents to voice-first, human-centered AI experiences designed for the enterprise and scalable.
