Blaize, a leader in edge AI computing, has secured $56 million in funding to scale its AI solutions across Southeast Asia’s growing smart infrastructure landscape. The funding round was led by prominent investors including Franklin Templeton, Temasek’s Xora Innovation, Denso, Mercedes-Benz, and other strategic backers. With this capital, Blaize aims to meet the surging demand for edge AI applications in sectors such as smart cities, manufacturing, automotive, and transportation. The company’s technology is designed to enable high-performance, energy-efficient AI processing directly at the edge, eliminating the latency and bandwidth constraints associated with centralized cloud AI models. Blaize has already made significant inroads in Southeast Asia through partnerships with key infrastructure and industrial players.

“The explosion of AI applications at the edge — in smart cities, Industry 4.0, automotive, and more — demands high-performance, energy-efficient, and cost-effective edge AI computing,” said Dinakar Munagala, Co-founder and CEO of Blaize. “Blaize uniquely meets these needs, and this funding enables us to scale to meet the growing demand.” The company’s hardware and software platform offers a fully programmable, low-latency solution for deploying AI workloads across a wide range of edge devices, enabling real-time intelligence for mission-critical applications. Blaize’s strategic investors view this deployment as pivotal to accelerating digital transformation and AI adoption in the region. “Xora Innovation invests in companies advancing breakthrough technologies poised for global impact,” said Hsien-Hui Tong, Managing Director at Xora Innovation. “Blaize’s edge AI solutions address critical performance and efficiency challenges, and we are excited to support their growth in Southeast Asia and beyond.” This funding also reinforces Blaize’s position in the global edge AI market, projected to grow significantly as industries increasingly shift to decentralized AI computing models. With this investment, Blaize is set to enhance its R&D, expand its customer base in Asia, and deliver scalable, sustainable AI-powered infrastructure solutions.
