Unified security and observability enable continuous compliance and response automation for major cloud platforms

Dynatrace, a leading AI-driven observability platform, has announced an expansion of its security offerings with the introduction of its Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution. Designed for enterprises navigating complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments, this solution enhances security, ensures compliance, and optimizes resource efficiency through continuous monitoring, automated remediation, and centralized visibility.

The new Dynatrace CSPM solution builds upon the company’s existing Kubernetes Security Posture Management (KSPM) capabilities, allowing organizations to manage their entire cloud security posture from a single, unified platform. By aggregating and contextualizing security and observability data, this solution seamlessly integrates with or replaces hyperscaler-specific security tools. It delivers insights into both application security and the underlying infrastructure, reducing operational complexities. Additionally, it facilitates continuous compliance monitoring against key regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, CIS, and GDPR, significantly cutting down the time and effort needed to maintain a strong security posture in hyperscale cloud deployments.

Currently, organizations leverage Dynatrace’s Application Security and Threat Observability solutions to identify vulnerabilities, detect potential threats, and analyze security incidents through advanced analytics across observability and security data. The addition of CSPM capabilities further strengthens Dynatrace’s security suite, offering full-stack protection for applications, containers, and cloud infrastructure.

By leveraging Dynatrace’s powerful AI engine, Davis® AI, in conjunction with the Dynatrace Grail™ data lakehouse, the platform unifies security and observability insights across code, libraries, language runtime, and container infrastructure. This advanced approach enables businesses to shift from reactive security strategies to proactive risk management, with automated remediation and risk analysis.

Philip Bues, Senior Research Manager, Cloud Security at IDC, commented: “Cloud security teams get thousands of alerts every day. I’m excited about how observability context could provide Cloud Security teams with the ability to prioritize alerts, enabling them to remediate those that really matter.”

Steve Tack, Chief Product Officer at Dynatrace, added: “Modern enterprises need security solutions that can protect their entire technology stack, from cloud infrastructure to running applications. With our unified solution, organizations achieve a single-platform approach that delivers continuous security insights, AI-ranked risk analysis, and automated remediation that can remove blind spots, automate adherence to technical standards, and significantly reduce complexity.”

With its latest CSPM capabilities, Dynatrace continues to empower organizations with cutting-edge security solutions that streamline cloud security management, reduce complexity, and bolster compliance, all within an intelligent, AI-powered platform.
