Cybersecurity innovator Daylight announced the completion of a $33 million Series A funding round, bringing its total financing to $40 million. The round was led by Craft Ventures, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Maple VC and other leading investors.

This funding milestone follows rapid adoption of Daylight’s AI-powered platform by enterprises across the U.S. and Europe, including The Motley Fool, Cresta and the McKinsey Investment Office, and comes at a time when demand for enterprise-ready cyber defences is accelerating.

A New Era in Cyber Defence

Daylight is redefining traditional managed detection and response (MDR) by introducing its Managed Agentic Security Services (MASS) model. MASS combines an advanced AI-core with PhD-level human analysts to deliver a unified, continuous system that learns, adapts and acts autonomously. Deployments are completed in under an hour, false positive rates drop by up to 90 % and investigations move from escalation to resolution.

Traditional MDR approaches characterised by manual triage, slow response times and endless escalations are increasingly unable to keep pace with evolving threats. Daylight’s platform enables enterprises to scale defence without scaling headcount, unifying AI, automation and human expertise into one autonomous service.

Momentum in the Market

In less than six months, Daylight’s customer base has expanded rapidly across industries and geographies, driven largely by word-of-mouth referrals from forward-thinking security leaders. CISOs consistently report: “This is what MDR was always supposed to be.”

The company is now actively expanding its go-to-market presence in North America, strengthening analyst operations globally and accelerating new modules for identity threat response and cloud workload protection. Each development brings Daylight closer to its vision of a fully autonomous, self-evolving security operations centre.

What Comes Next

Daylight’s mission remains unchanged: to make world-class cyber defence accessible, adaptive and truly effective. With the latest funding, the company is positioned to scale its platform, serve a broader range of enterprises and confront the next generation of cyber threats head on.

Behind this progress is an extraordinary team: analysts, engineers and operators working across time zones to keep customers secure; early-adopter customers who entrusted Daylight before it had brand recognition; and investors and partners who believe security must evolve.

The future of cybersecurity is agentic, adaptive and autonomous driven by intelligent systems that think, act and learn alongside humans. At Daylight, that future is already here and getting brighter every day.
