Siemens has completed the acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc., a leading provider of industrial simulation and analysis software, for approximately USD 10 billion. This strategic move enhances Siemens’ capabilities in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing, data science, and artificial intelligence (AI). By integrating Altair’s technologies into the Siemens Xcelerator open digital business platform, Siemens aims to create the world’s most comprehensive AI-powered portfolio of industrial software, further strengthening its position as a leading technology company.
