Cognite, a globally recognized leader in industrial software, is expanding its operations at Celanese’s facility in Clear Lake, Texas. We announced that we have launched the beta version of Remotely Operated Control Room (ROCR), which is equipped with generative AI. Celanese, a global chemical and specialty materials company, uses ROCR to gain complete visibility into real-time operations across its global locations, thereby accelerating workflows and delivering orders of magnitude operational insight. Plan to get efficient.

ROCR is built on Cognite Data Fusion, the leading industrial DataOps platform, and leverages Cognite AI , the most comprehensive industrial AI capability, to deliver deterministic data regardless of source or type. It provides a central view of Celanese’s contextualized industrial data, along with generative AI co-pilots. This enables Celanese to discover insights across data sources to understand and resolve safety, reliability and quality risks across its operations in real time.

“Our employees are at the center of our digital transformation, and everything we do at our company is centered around making their work more impactful,” said Brenda Stout, Celanese’s Vice President of Acetyl Manufacturing. Cognite integrates generative AI into remote control rooms to improve line-of-sight for field leaders and their teams, from monitoring equipment performance to enhancing root cause analysis and streamlining and enhancing processes. We will realize a variety of possibilities.”

ROCR features eight product status screens, including Flawless Day KPIs, raw manufacturing data, reported incidents, live video coverage, energy consumption costs, 3D on-site model display, maintenance information, and Cognite copilots. It consists of a dashboard. ROCR meets three key goals in Celanese’s transformation to become a Digital Plant of the Future .

  • Functional management: Celanese shop floor leaders and their teams can interact with Cognite co-pilots using voice commands to improve overall health, safety, environmental, quality, reliability, energy, and other perspectives. Understand the current state of key metrics and dig deeper for insights.
  • Digital Worker : AI-powered workflows enable field workers to address issues faster and easier, troubleshooting attempts, and unstructured observations captured as structured data and delivered via mobile devices. can improve the speed reported to ROCR.
  • Escalation and Remediation: Cognite CoPilot supports the investigation process by providing additional context and automatically generating work orders as needed, while ROCR supports all You can be actively involved in the situation.
