Cognex Corporation, a global leader in machine vision technology, has announced the upcoming launch of OneVision, a powerful cloud-based platform designed to streamline the way manufacturers develop, train, and scale AI-powered vision applications.

“OneVision is the culmination of nearly a decade of industrial AI innovation at Cognex. We combine our advanced AI technology with a superior customer experience and continue to unlock new possibilities for our customers,” said Carl Gerst, executive vice president of imaging and ID products at Cognex. “We simplify the entire application development process, helping our customers work faster, scale more efficiently, and maximize the value of their automation investments.”

Built with the demands of global manufacturing environments in mind, OneVision addresses some of the most persistent challenges that have hindered the widespread use of AI-driven machine vision:

  • Lengthy development cycles and steep learning curves: OneVision features an intuitive, user-friendly interface and guided workflows, enabling teams of varying skill levels to reduce setup time from months to just minutes.

  • High infrastructure costs: With a cloud-first approach, the platform removes the need for expensive hardware, cutting upfront investments and enhancing overall return on investment.

  • Disconnected tools and processes: OneVision brings everything into a unified ecosystem—tools, data, and workflows—fostering real-time collaboration across devices, lines, and locations.

  • Inconsistent performance across facilities: The centralized development environment, paired with local customization capabilities, ensures standardization while allowing flexibility for site-specific requirements.

With the introduction of OneVision, Cognex is not only expanding its portfolio of cutting-edge vision solutions but also accelerating the adoption of AI across the industrial landscape. This platform enables manufacturers to tackle complex vision challenges with greater speed, reliability, and scalability.

Currently, OneVision is available to select customers on the In-Sight® 3800 and In-Sight® 8900 vision systems. A broader rollout to additional Cognex products is scheduled for early 2026.
