French AI startup Mistral AI has raised €1.7 billion in its latest funding round, propelling its valuation to €11.7 billion and establishing it as Europe’s most valuable AI company. The round was led by Dutch semiconductor equipment giant ASML, which invested €1.3 billion to become Mistral’s largest shareholder with an 11% stake.
