ImmunoScape has appointed biotechnology executive Peter Olagunju as Chief Executive Officer as the Singapore- and Boston-based company prepares to advance its T-cell receptor (TCR)-based cancer immunotherapy platform toward clinical development.
The appointment, announced on September 23, 2026, comes as ImmunoScape moves its “Seed and Boost” approach from platform development toward the next stage of therapeutic development. Co-founder Michael Fehlings, Ph.D., will continue leading the company’s scientific and technical strategy as Chief Technology Officer.
Olagunju brings more than two decades of experience across clinical development, manufacturing, technical operations and biotechnology leadership. His career includes senior roles at TCR² Therapeutics, FerGene and bluebird bio, where he worked across the development and commercialization of cell and gene therapies. He has also led an oncology company from its formation through financing and a subsequent corporate transaction.

His background includes involvement with therapies such as PROVENGE, ZYNTEGLO, ABECMA, ADSTILADRIN, SKYSONA and LYFGENIA, giving him experience across multiple stages of the biotechnology development process.
ImmunoScape is developing TCR-based cell therapies for solid tumors and uses deep immunomics and high-throughput TCR discovery technologies as part of its research platform. Its “Seed and Boost” approach is designed to address challenges associated with the persistence and activity of engineered T cells in solid tumors.
The company previously announced a memorandum of understanding with a U.S. cancer center to advance a clinical trial focused on WT1-positive solid tumors, including difficult-to-treat cancers such as ovarian, pancreatic and mesothelioma cancers.
Olagunju’s appointment therefore comes at an important development stage for ImmunoScape, placing an executive with clinical, manufacturing and operational experience at the helm as the company works toward translating its research platform into clinical programs.
