GenLab Studio announces that Sarah Novotny has joined the team as Chief Technology Officer and Partner to lead groundbreaking products for autonomous systems and artificial intelligence. Sarah’s first initiative will focus on AI security, with a new effort just launched, Coalition for Secure AI, hosted by OASIS Open, a nonprofit consortium known for fostering open standards for the global information society.

Sarah’s background in leading cross-industry open-source collaborations will be critical to building secure, scalable products within critical infrastructure. Previously at Google and Microsoft, her understanding of the complexity of global AI ecosystems will create sustaining value in GenLab companies.

A veteran of the Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and Node.js communities, she will drive GenLab’s talent, community, and technology.

Sarah will spearhead GenLab’s participation in the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI), a collaboration designed to tackle the growing need for robust security measures in AI systems. As AI becomes more prevalent in autonomous systems—the physical manifestation of AI—and other critical applications, enhancing threat mitigation strategies is essential to secure AI ecosystems.
