Kling AI Web Version Released, with Advanced Frame and Shot Control Features

After the launch of image-to-video and video extension features, Kling has deployed its third major update within a month. The latest web version is now officially available online. Kuaishou touted a significant update to Kling’s foundational AI model, during the forum, introducing high-definition quality and the latest editing functionalities, such as beginning and finish frame control and shot control.

Also, the duration for one text-to-video creation has been increased to 10 seconds, observing the lengthiest duration available to ordinary users in the industry currently. Kling, the first video-generation large model globally that is truly accessible to ordinary users, introduced its text-to-video features on June 6th.

At the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, it revealed more new functionalities, such as image-to-video and video extension features, allowing the creation of videos up to around three minutes in length. Depending on real-world physical laws, the videos created by Kling show cinematic quality and dynamic effects, imitating natural physical movements with large motion and overcoming the limitations of conventional video generation solutions. This innovation has not only gained praise locally but has also flared considerable international attention, boosting global interest in China’s progress in AI technology.

To date, more than 500,000 users have requested access to Kling’s beta test. The number of generated videos reached 7 million. Well-known creations like “Old Photo Revival” have become viral because of their emotional influence. Kuaishou will continue to prioritize enhancing the model’s foundational grade, improving video clarity, and launching more innovative functionalities to satisfy diverse user needs.

Mr. Wan Pengfei, head of Kuaishou’s Visual Generation and Interaction Center, said that the new release of Kling offers significant improvements in seven areas: motion generation, generation duration, compliance to physical laws, video grade, command reply, image-to-video conversion, and video control. These updates allow the creation of more precise and more manageable videos of 10 seconds or longer.

A premier of the trailer for China’s first original AIGC fantasy short play, “Legendary Mirrors of Mountains and Seas: Splitting Waves,” was showcased during the Forum, with Kling offering expansive technical help for the short play. The quick progress of AIGC technology has infused new vitality into the short-play industry, greatly facilitating the efficiency of short-play production, creation, and operation.
