Lattice Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power programmable logic and platform firmware, has announced a strategic collaboration with Arm. The collaboration is focused on improving secure management, platform trust, and system adaptability in artificial intelligence technology architecture. Through the combination of Arm® AGI CPU server platforms with Lattice FPGAs and AMI platform firmware, both organizations will provide an enterprise-level solution that will increase data center efficiency, connectivity, and modularity.

Optimizing System Architecture and Secure Interoperability

Under this collaborative architecture, Lattice FPGAs work in tandem with the primary CPU and the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) on Arm AGI CPU server systems, backed by AMI firmware for boot and platform governance. The FPGAs serve as secure companion chips, offering real-time control, providing hardware platform trust, and allowing infrastructure connectivity.

In order to facilitate hardware integration within a heterogenous environment, the proposed solution makes use of Open Compute Project (OCP)-based connections between the HPM and DC-SCM. This is enabled by the LVDS Tunneling Protocol and Interface (LTPI) an open industry standard that simplifies board-level routing, enhances cross-vendor interoperability, and supports scalable, modular expansion in high-density AI clusters.

“AI infrastructure is evolving rapidly, creating greater demand for secure, interoperable control and management at every level of the system,” said Mamta Gupta, VP, Business Development, Compute & Communications, Lattice Semiconductor. “Together with Arm, we’re helping customers accelerate deployment of next-generation computing platforms through secure management, open standards, and a scalable foundation that can evolve with changing customer needs.”

“Scaling AI infrastructure requires an ecosystem working across compute, connectivity, management, and security,” said Eddie Ramirez, Vice President of Go-to-Market, Cloud AI, Arm. “By working with Lattice to integrate secure management and control, we’re expanding the ecosystem around Arm AGI CPU and giving customers more flexibility to build and deploy next-generation AI infrastructure.”
