Google Labs has unveiled Jules Tools, a new lightweight command-line interface, and an early-access Jules API, designed to integrate Google’s AI-powered coding agent, Jules, directly into developers’ systems and workflows. These tools aim to provide developers with greater control and flexibility, enabling them to incorporate Jules seamlessly into their existing development processes.

Jules assists developers by automating tasks such as generating code, fixing bugs, writing tests, and improving performance. By introducing Jules Tools, developers can now interact with Jules directly from their terminal, initiating and managing tasks alongside their own commands. This integration facilitates a smoother transition from conversational interactions with Jules to incorporating it into real-world development workflows.
