The new capability extends Microsoft’s commitment to advancing human-like voice generation and enhancing creativity and expressive power through artificial intelligence.
Copilot Labs serves as Microsoft’s experimental platform where users can explore early-stage AI features, co-create with the community, and help shape the future of Copilot. Copilot Audio Expressions leverages Microsoft’s latest voice generation models to bring written text to life with expressive narration.

Users are enabled to adjust voice settings such as tone, pace, emotion, personality, and style. The tool supports different narration styles, including emotive mode and story mode, allowing narratives and dialogue to feel dynamic and engaging.
Generated audio can be downloaded as MP3 files for use in podcasts, audiobooks, video content, and other creative projects. The tool is currently available through modern web browsers and some features may require a Microsoft account. Microsoft is encouraging user feedback to refine and evolve the experience.
