Elixirr has acquired large language model and generative AI acceleration platform, Responsum, following a successful partnership, bolstering its services in the emerging technology space.

This marks Elixirr’s fifth acquisition to-date, as they seek to diversify and strengthen their offering for clients – joining Den Creative, Retearn, Coast Digital and, most recently, specialist technology and data firm, iOLAP.

Founded in Austin, Texas by CEO Steve Steinberg and Adam Hofmann, Responsum helps organizations realise and implement solutions using the latest in AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI models like GPT-4. The platform is used across different industries by sales teams to scale productivity, performance and data hygiene; support teams to reduce costs and improve the customer experience; executives and managers to streamline access to internal data and reporting; and researchers to analyse documents and data at scale.

Elixirr has collaborated with Responsum on a number of client projects over the past year and announced a formal partnership with the company in August 2023. Since announcing the partnership Elixirr and Responsum are collaborating on over 40 new client opportunities – evidencing the fact that companies all around the world understand the need to embrace AI to remain competitive. Combining Responsum’s large language model technology and AI expertise with iOLAP’s technology and data capabilities, guided by Elixirr’s deep strategic expertise, presents a unique market opportunity.

The AI market is expected to grow twentyfold by 2030, up to nearly two trillion U.S. dollars, providing huge opportunities for businesses across industries, and an increasing need for support integrating the technology in a valuable way.

As part of the acquisition, Steve Steinberg also joins Elixirr’s partner team, marking the fifth new partner this year, including two internal promotes, with another two official in October. Steve is a global leader in conversational AI and natural language processing, with over 20 years of experience in the technology sector. After starting his career consulting with the Big 4, he quickly pivoted to the startup world, driven by a passion for innovation and growth.

Elixirr most recently welcomed John Kalil to the partner team to further strengthen its services and network in this space, and in the US market. John worked as a partner and managing director at leading consulting firms, including Infosys Limited and Boston Consulting Group, before his most recent leadership roles in sales, delivery and corporate development at artificial intelligence software company Noodle.ai.

Stephen Newton, Founder & CEO of Elixirr, says

“Bringing Responsum on board will allow us to engage with our clients in a way that is very differentiated in the market – combining strategy and execution together under one roof, empowered by the tech of tomorrow. This acquisition enables us to be anchored in a core capability but provide the wider strategic services needed to make a significant difference for our clients’ organisations. This is just one of many acquisitions we intend to make in areas that add real value to the change journeys and value creation opportunities our clients have.”

Steve Steinberg, Co-Founder & CEO of Responsum, says

“Generative AI presents huge opportunities for businesses. That’s exactly why we founded Responsum – to help clients unlock the power of this technology to drive efficiency, value and creativity. As part of Elixirr, not only can we now bring our technical expertise to a wider range of businesses across the globe, but also strengthen our offering through the power of the Elixirr brands. Working together over the past year I have also been able to see the cultural alignment between our teams – an entrepreneurial drive in every individual and a real passion for clients’ success. Coming together will give us the best possible opportunity to help more companies reach their full potential and effect real change using AI.”

Craig Rich, Managing Partner at iOLAP, says

Responsum as an acceleration platform is key to what we are doing in the market. Our focus is on helping customers move quickly and effectively in this space from idea to production. Collaborating on multiple client engagements already, we have been able to really accelerate our customers’ journeys, not only understanding how to get immediate value from the technology, but also identifying multiple use cases across the organisation. Our services together in the marketplace will be unbeatable.”
