Ganymede, the scientific data cloud, announced the launch of its Scientific AI Agent Platform the first secure, deterministic AI agents purpose-built for science, engineering, and hard tech industries.
This marks a significant expansion of Ganymede’s platform with a particular focus on process development, introducing a new category of task-oriented AI agents designed to help R&D and quality teams derive insights and context from their data, control production batches, design experiments, accelerate data analysis, and automate reporting all through a secure chat interface.
“Scientists today are spending far too much time searching for data and making PowerPoints instead of doing science,” said Nathan Clark, CEO of Ganymede. “With our Scientific AI Agent platform, we’re creating an AI that can learn about your experiments and batches with you, sift through your data, and even ask questions to gather context. That’s what’s required to make AI useful in the lab or on the manufacturing floor.”
The platform is currently in its Alpha stage and is accepting customer interest for participation in the Beta program.

From File to Insight Powered by AI Agents
Ganymede’s AI agents act as tireless junior lab techs and process engineers:
- Parsing raw scientific data from assays or assembling context about batches
- Customizing analysis or even suggesting analysis outcomes
- Conducting deep research across multiple data and file systems as well as external sources
- Flagging QC issues and analyzing context
- Suggesting next experiments to run
- And generating polished reports all within minutes
The platform is designed to handle structured and semi-structured data across scientific formats, including bioreactor logs, plate reader files, chromatograms, and more.
Built for Science, Engineering, and Hard Tech
Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Ganymede’s platform is engineered to meet the specific needs of technical domains. The launch focuses on high-impact use cases in biotech, diagnostics, materials science, agtech, and chemicals with broader applicability to any lab-based R&D or manufacturing operation.
Key features of the new platform include:
- Modular Analysis + AI: Conversational editing of analysis app structure, AI-generated charting, and QC workflows
- LLM Sidebar Integration: Embedded chat interface with context-aware tools to turn every surface in the app into a context-rich conversational interface
- Secure Design: Reliable AI outputs, role-based permissions, and auditability
- Agent Workflows: Build custom automations and full agents, from ELN/LIMS triggers to reagent ordering, using AI decisioning
