EverCommerce has appointed Chris Rogers as Chief Technology Officer, bringing an extensive technology leadership background spanning enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data science and financial technology.
In his new role, Rogers will provide enterprise-wide technology leadership across EverCommerce’s customer-facing technology, cloud infrastructure and security operations. He will also work closely with technology leaders across the company’s businesses to support technology strategy and execution.
Rogers joins EverCommerce after serving as Chief Technology Officer at Instinet, where he led the modernization of front- and back-office technology while overseeing infrastructure supporting the company’s products and operations. His experience includes managing technology environments where reliability, security and modernization are closely connected to business operations.
Earlier in his career, Rogers developed a software platform that was adopted by Nasdaq and founded Sidewalk Software, adding entrepreneurial and software development experience to his technology leadership background.

His career has also increasingly incorporated data science and machine learning. Rogers earned a master’s degree in Data Science from New York University and has advised private equity firms on technology due diligence. He also worked with the nonprofit GRID3, applying machine learning to satellite feature data.
Rogers’ appointment comes as software companies continue to reassess enterprise technology architectures around cloud computing, cybersecurity, data and artificial intelligence. Technology leaders are increasingly responsible not only for infrastructure and security but also for connecting those capabilities with customer-facing products and business operations.
At EverCommerce, Rogers will oversee a broad technology remit spanning products, infrastructure and security. His background across software development, technology modernization and data science positions him at the intersection of several areas that are becoming increasingly important to enterprise technology organizations.
The appointment also adds another senior technology leader to EverCommerce as the company continues to manage technology across its portfolio of business software and services. Rogers’ focus will include working across the organization to align technology teams and capabilities with evolving business and customer requirements.
