Summit, a US-based managed IT infrastructure provider, announced on now that it has acquired HorizonIQ a provider of high-performance bare-metal and private-cloud platforms rooted in the legacy of Internap and SingleHop in a strategic move backed by Silver Oak Services Partners. This acquisition adds HorizonIQ’s fully automated bare-metal provisioning, nine data centers, and expanded private-cloud capabilities now including support for VMware, Hyper-V, and newly added Proxmox to Summit’s portfolio, significantly enhancing its flexibility for enterprise and mid-market clients.

According to Summit CEO Andre Wu, “Summit’s high-touch service and engineering depth, paired with HorizonIQ’s innovative automation expertise, strengthens our ability to provide the robust infrastructure and cloud solutions our clients rely on.” HorizonIQ President and CTO Ali Marashi added, “By joining Summit, we can bring that same simplicity and automation to a larger footprint of data centers and give customers more choice in how they deploy critical workloads.” During integration, HorizonIQ’s services will continue uninterrupted, and over the coming months, its technology and team will be merged under the Summit brand expanding Summit’s data-center footprint, backup capacity, and global private-cloud offerings. As a result, Summit already known for cloud, colocation, disaster-recovery, and cybersecurity solutions is positioned to deliver even more scalable, flexible, and performance-driven infrastructure and hosting services to businesses worldwide.
