Google Cloud and Melexis, a global microelectronics engineering company, have announced an expanded multi-year partnership aimed at embedding artificial intelligence across Melexis’s operations. Building on a decade-long collaboration, the agreement underscores Melexis’s commitment to leveraging advanced AI technologies to enhance productivity, streamline manufacturing workflows, and drive innovation in product development.

This next phase of collaboration follows Melexis’s early adoption of Google Workspace and Google Cloud services, which have been central to the company’s digital transformation. The organization is now accelerating operational efficiency through Google Workspace’s AI capabilities, implemented via initiatives such as the “Melexis Google Workspace Cafe,” a virtual hub that enables employees to connect, share updates, and resolve queries collaboratively. Google Chat has emerged as the most popular feature, significantly improving employee efficiency by minimizing time spent on complex and routine tasks.

Data security and responsible AI deployment remain core to Melexis’s approach. By combining Google Cloud’s robust security and governance framework with its internal protocols, Melexis ensures all AI tools are utilized safely and in full compliance with industry standards.

“Melexis’s proactive approach to AI adoption and its vision for intelligent transformation exemplify how organizations can transform knowledge work, streamline operations, and empower their teams to achieve more. We are at a pivotal moment where AI is a catalyst, ready to unlock unprecedented potential in industries such as manufacturing,” said Céline Callewaert, Head of BeLux, Google Cloud.

In addition to operational improvements, Melexis is embedding AI directly into product development and manufacturing processes. Employees can now make equipment manuals accessible via Notebook LM, enabling maintenance engineers to quickly identify and resolve issues on the production floor. Developers also benefit from advanced tools like Gemini Code Assist, which are driving measurable quality improvements and are increasingly adopted across the IT department.

“Our long-standing relationship with Google Cloud has been foundational to our digital transformation,” said Piet De Ceuleners, Global IT Director, Melexis. “AI is now an integral part of our business strategy, driving increased overall effectiveness and allowing us to focus our engineering talent on the next generation of micro-electronic innovation.”
