Automation Anywhere Acquires Aisera to Power the Autonomous Enterprise

Automation Anywhere

In a strategic move to redefine enterprise automation, Automation Anywhere has acquired Aisera, further solidifying its position as a leader in Agentic Process Automation (APA) and expanding its reach into conversational AI-driven self-service across ITSM, HR and customer-service functions. The acquisition unifies Automation Anywhere’s existing APA system with Aisera’s agentic platform to create what the companies call the “industry’s most comprehensive agentic automation portfolio” enabling processes from intent-to-action ranging from natural language understanding to orchestration and automation across thousands of enterprise systems. Automation Anywhere aims to help organisations adopt the “Autonomous Enterprise” vision where up to 80 % of work is fully automated or assisted by AI agents, elevating human work, reducing costs and accelerating processes. CEO and Co-founder Mihir Shukla said, “With this acquisition, we’re expanding the value we offer to customers, broadening our market reach, and accelerating the momentum of our GenAI business … With AI agents doing the work, up to 40 % fewer ITSM seats are needed. And in this new agentic world, Automation Anywhere charges for work done rather than underutilised seats.” Similarly, Aisera CEO Abhi Maheshwari commented, “The union of Automation Anywhere and Aisera creates an agentic automation powerhouse … This moment is a testament to the incredible innovation, dedication, and hard work of Aisera’s employees. Together with Automation Anywhere, we will continue to redefine the future of enterprise work and deliver exponential value for businesses across the globe.” The acquisition is also backed by investor sentiment, with Venky Ganesan of Menlo Ventures calling it “a defining moment in enterprise AI.” The combined technology stack will integrate Aisera’s conversational AI agents, Automation Anywhere’s Process Reasoning Engine (PRE) and Mozart Orchestrator, offering an open, enterprise-ready infrastructure with multilingual LLM support and governance.

Beyond the immediate technology implications, the deal reflects a clear market signal: organisations increasingly demand automation platforms that move beyond point-solutions and seat-based models to full-lifecycle agentic execution. As Automation Anywhere integrates Aisera’s team of over 100 AI engineers and signals continued investment in agentic AI, the combined entity positions itself to support Fortune 2000 customers with a unified stack from conversational self-service agents to enterprise-grade orchestration without forcing customers to piece together disparate tools.
