EDA integration enables OEMs to deliver high-bandwidth structured data to semiconductor factories and increases efficiency for competitive advantage
Agileo Automation , a leading provider of control and connectivity solutions for global semiconductor manufacturing facilities, announced the future expansion of its A2 automation framework to include the SEMI standards for EDA (Equipment Data Acquisition). This integration, which already includes Agil’GEM and Agil’GEM300 , will enable OEMs to deliver high-bandwidth structured data to manufacturing facilities and drive artificial intelligence (AI) process improvements by leveraging large volumes of reliable, actionable data. The EDA standards, built on the proven SECS/GEM and GEM300 standards, transform how facilities communicate, enabling rapid, data-driven manufacturing. As semiconductor fabs become increasingly connected and automated, the ability of OEM facilities to seamlessly integrate and deliver high-quality, structured data has become a competitive advantage.

Agileo Automation has conducted EDA Freeze 2 client and server trials with device manufacturers that already support EDA and is working with these early adopters to integrate it into their devices using A2 ECF -SEMI, Agil’GEM, and Agil’GEM300. The company will soon provide a comprehensive offering for OEMs requiring EDA Freeze 2 or 3. EDA is increasingly being required in RFPs, to which device manufacturers must respond.
“EDA will enable factories to achieve higher yields, faster innovation cycles, and a sustainable competitive advantage in an ever-accelerating market,” explains Marc Engel , CEO of Agileo Automation. “Agileo is proud to be a key contributor to this global effort, supporting OEMs across all market segments with a complete and scalable product portfolio.”
