Supermicro Offers Rack-Scale Solutions with New AI-Optimized 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Processors, Cloud Service Providers, Storage and Edge Computing

Supermicro

Plug and Play rack-scale solutions with liquid cooling options give customers faster delivery time, better quality, optimized performance and efficiency with systems offering 67% performance increase from generation to generation in AI benchmarks and average performance gain of 87% of systems based on the 3th generation Intel Xeon processor

Manufacturer of total IT solutions for AI, Cloud, Storage and 5G/Edge, announces rack-scale air- and liquid-cooled solutions based on the X13 family of workload-optimized servers that now support new 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors (previously codenamed Emerald Rapids) . The new product line includes GPU servers for generative AI, E3.S Petascale servers with optimized processing power and latency, cost-effective, high-density Enterprise and Simply Double storage servers for large-scale object storage, and new 4-inch SuperEdge systems. Enhanced storage nodes with better storage capacity. Supermicro, Inc.

“At Supermicro, we leverage workload-optimized server building blocks to create fully integrated rack-scale solutions for our customers, resulting in faster delivery times, supporting up to 100 kW per rack and a capacity production capacity of 4,000 racks per month,” said Charles Liang, President and CEO of Supermicro. “Add to this Supermicro’s own rack-scale liquid cooling solutions, which can deliver Green Computing TCO savings of up to 51% on data center electricity costs for a complete, integrated solution. We are already shipping the first units to customers around the world. Supermicro’s X13 product families are the industry’s broadest range of servers optimized for AI, cloud, storage and edge, and they get even better with support for new 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors, which deliver higher performance per watt, up to 128 cores and 160 PCIe lanes in a single server.”

The new Intel® Trust Domain Extensions (Intel® TDX) are built into the CPU chip. Supermicro’s X13 systems also include hardware protected by ‘Root of Trust’ firmware. (RoT) per NIST 800-193, in addition to benefiting from Supermicro’s supply chain certification and the ‘Made in theUSA program ‘ for greater security from production to the end customer.

“5th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors deliver significant performance and efficiency improvements for our customers’ most critical workloads,” said Lisa Spelman , Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Intel Xeon Products and Solutions. “Supermicro’s X13 server range is designed to give customers the fastest path to increased performance through compatibility with existing 4th generation Xeon-based platforms.”

Among the new additions to the wide range of X13 servers is a new dual-processor GPU server with 8 Intel Data Center GPU Max 1550 OAM optimized for large-scale AI training, generative AI and HPC applications. Intel Data Center GPU Max 1550 GPUs utilize the open-standard Open Accelerator Module (OAM) form factor for flexible, high-speed interconnect and contain 128 GB of HBM2e memory for a maximum GPU memory bandwidth of 3,276. 8GB/s. Direct-to-chip liquid cooling of the CPU and GPU is available in the system through full rack integration and Supermicro liquid cooling solutions.

Supermicro is also launching several new servers that support new Intel Xeon E-2400 processors (previously codenamed Catlow Platform, Raptor Lake-E). The new systems are optimized for edge and cloud workloads at maximum efficiency and include flexible I/O, storage-optimized, short-depth, and mid-tower WIO configurations, as well as Supermicro MicroCloud and Supermicro MicroBlade architectures. =1>® of several nodes. The new Intel Xeon E-2400 processors have up to 8 cores and a maximum frequency of 5.6 GHz. These servers are available for immediate shipment.
