Uniphore appoints Ravi Mayuram as new Chief Technology Officer

Uniphore , one of the world’s largest AI-native companies, announced the appointment of Ravi Mayuram as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Mayuram brings over 25 years of engineering leadership experience and looks forward to furthering Uniphore’s leadership position in enterprise AI.

At Uniphore, Mayuram will lead the engineering team and be responsible for scaling Uniphore’s engineering platform, technology and AI groups, ensuring the highest security and performance standards.

Mayuram brings extensive leadership experience to Uniphore. He previously held several senior technical and management positions at leading software companies, including Couchbase, BEA, HP, Informix, Oracle, and Siebel Systems. As a technical leader, he has built teams from scratch – at both established companies and startups – and has been responsible for developing systems including operating systems, distributed databases, PaaS, SaaS, and edge and IoT systems.

Most recently, Mayuram served as Chief Development Officer at Luminary Cloud, where he led products, design, and engineering. Prior to that, he served as CTO at Couchbase, a leading cloud-native NoSQL database company, where he led innovation, development, and delivery of the popular database platform and played a key role in turning the company into a successful public company. He also led innovation in social graph, search, and analytics at Oracle, and helped launch the company’s Cloud Collaboration Platform. He gained his startup experience at BroadBand Office (a Kleiner Perkins venture) and Plumtree (acquired by BEA).
