Check Point Acquires Lakera to Provide Full AI Security

Check Point

Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, announced its agreement to acquire Lakera, a leading AI-native security platform for Agentic AI applications. This strategic acquisition positions Check Point to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end AI security stack, safeguarding enterprises as they accelerate their adoption of AI technologies.

“AI is transforming every business process, but it also introduces new attack surfaces,” said Nadav Zafrir, CEO at Check Point Software Technologies. “We chose Lakera because it brings AI-native security, superior precision, and speed at scale. Together we are setting the benchmark for how enterprises adopt and trust AI.”

As organizations increasingly integrate large language models, generative AI, and autonomous agents into core operations, they face heightened risks from data exposure and model manipulation to threats emerging from multi-agent collaboration and autonomous decision-making. In this evolving landscape, real-time AI-native security has become essential for enterprises seeking to innovate safely.

Check Point has already established strong defenses through its GenAI Protect solution, advanced SaaS and API security, data loss prevention, and machine learning-powered protections across applications, cloud environments, and endpoints. With Lakera, Check Point extends these capabilities to deliver one of the industry’s first end-to-end AI security solutions. By combining Lakera’s real-time runtime protection with the AI-powered Check Point Infinity architecture, enterprises can secure the full AI lifecycle including models, agents, and data enabling innovation at scale without compromising security.
